Geo Smart Decisions has extensive experience in the area of site suitability analysis for locating potential areas for wind and solar developments using GIS data and analyses; this also includes our work supporting developers to identify and appraise substations. Our work enables clients to streamline site identification and quickly build land and development portfolios.

Other projects support planners to evidence the suitability of proposed sites and carry out analyses for Alternative Site Assessments. In our modelling work, we use geoprocessing in GIS to create bespoke suitability models using a range of spatial parameters, scored and weighted appropriately and in consultation with our clients. Clients are also provided with online mapping; password protected platforms that enable the client to assess multiple locations and visualise constraints and opportunities on the fly.
